U12 U11 U10 U9 U8/7

  This weeks match Summaries below!

Mold U12s produced some good flowing Rugby to run out comfortable 61- 14 Winners against a much larger Warrington side. Mold's forwards and backs combining to produce quick ball for which Warrington had no answer, Mold's mobile forwards where first to the breakdown and managed to secure good quick clean ball for the backs to spin it out to the wings to do the damage. First on the score sheet for Mold was flying winger Owen Jones who scored the first of his three Tries after a flowing move saw the ball spun out to him just inside Warrington's half, his pace saw him jink past a couple of defenders to score in the corner. Mold's second Try was almost identical with Owen Jones once again on the score sheet. Henry Jones was twice on the score sheet for Mold, with two more Tries both scored in the corner after quick ball from the forwards went through all the hands and out to the wings. Warrington pulled a couple of Tries back after their bigger forward had managed to crash over Mold's try line from close range. Lighting quick winger Caine le Tissier was next to score for Mold after a good backs move saw Rhys Samuel playing at full back come into the line at pace and pass to Caine who jinked his way through to score in the corner.  Owen Jones completed his Hat-trick for Mold when he weaved through Warrington 's defense to score his Hat-trick.Caine Le Tissier scored his second for Mold when the wingers pace just him jink through to score. Mold's forwards got in on the act with Alex Leigh scoring from a quick taken penalty crashing over from short range. Michael Gordon who had make a number of telling breaks got his reward with a well taken Try after he picked up a loose turnover ball and out sprinted Warrington 's defense to score. Michael Gordon won the player of the weekend award for some powerful telling breaks. Final Score Warrington 14 Mold 61. Try Scores for Mold Owen Jones(3), Caine Le Tissier(2) Henry Jones(2) Alex Leigh, Michael Gordon, Tyler Bridges slotted 8 Conversions with the boot.

Mold U11s were slow out of the blocks and were 4 Tries to 0 down in the first half against a strong Warrington side. The Warrington 's backs ran good lines which did all of the damage. Mold U11s stirred themselves for the second half and were edged  out two tries to one in the second half, Osian Haynes scoring Mold's Try which was converted by Ben Roberts. Final score Warrington 42 Mold 7.

Mold U10s opponents this week were a depleted Sefton team. Mold supplied Sefton with two players for each of the two matches played. Kieron Roberts scored Mold’s first try on the 90 second mark after Morgan Johnson kicked off with a kick dropping 2m from the try line. Kieron wrestled the ball free and dived over. 40 seconds later, Connor Bishop added a second then a third just 29 s after the second following a take by Connor Jackson. Winger Harry Robinson added a fourth after the ball has passed through the entire line from scrum half Jack Evans. Soon after, Morgan Johnson ran from Mold’s 22m to touch down for Mold’s fifth. The try tally was testament to Mold’s running game and methodical forwards play providing a solid platform to launch from. On the Sefton team, Ronan Burger and Oli Taylor battled hard against their Mold team mates, Oli being at the thrust of Sefton’s attacks and Ronan at the heart of their defense saving at least one almost certain try when Jack Evans broke down the line just being pulled up short by Ronan. Jack did manage to score again to bring Mold’s total tally to 8 trys soon after Ross Nebden-Naylor added the seventh and an exchange of passes by the two Harry’s saw Harry Beaumont go over in the corner. The game came to a close when the 50 points difference was breached. Morgan Johnson converted 7/8 of the trys. Final score 54-0. The second game was much the same as the first but with Morgan Johnson and Connor Bishop swapping sides. Sefton restricted Mold to just one score in the first half from Oli Taylor before adding a second from Joe Harrison. Morgan Johnson then pulled a try back for Sefton which he converted before the game was put out of reach by a try from Kieron Roberts and a final try from Mold’s Man of the Match Jack Evans. Harry Robinson converted two of Mold’s trys. Final Score 24-7 to Mold. 

Mold U9s entertained Sefton, special mention to Charlie Prebble, Elis Cannon, Dion Jones and Harry Taylor from Mold U9s who played for Sefton. In the first game Mold ran out 13 Tries to 0 winners with Harry Taylor and Oliver Watters both grabbing 4 Tries each, Aaron Evans, Andy Cowling, Tom James, Dion Jones, Ben Beaver scoring Mold's other Tries. In the second game Mold's Harry Taylor played for Sefton and scored a Hat-trick for Sefton to take his tally for the day to 7 Tries, Mold just edged out Sefton 5 Tries to 4 with Charlie Prebble(2),Tom James, Elis Cannon and Man of the Match Aaron Evans on the score sheet for Mold.

Mold U8/U7s entertained local rivals Flint in two games with a mixed U7/U8s team. In the first game  a close affair Mold edged out Flint  5 Tries to 4: Mathew Williams opened the scoring for Mold to score his first try for the club created by a fantastic side step, Alun Evans, Seth Geary, Harry Millington and Montgomery Roberts also scored for Mold. In the second game Mold ran out a comfortable 7 Tries 3 winners with William Roberts picking up Hat-trick, Sam Harrison (2) Seth Geary 1 and Joe Brackley completing the scoring for Mold. Mathew Williams was the U8s Man of the Match and Joe Parry the U7s Man of the Match.
